About
5 years in...
I started with £350, and the help of my friends and family. Starting on a shoestring isn't an ideal way to start any business, but it's possible.
A few years ago, my best friend and I devised a way to make tea bags with just a heat press. In theory the hand made tea bags were going to be for samples and special orders- they proved quite popular, around 40,000 of them have been made to date :D
Six tea varieties have since grown into sixty, and a little customer base (and collection of teapots...) continued to grow steadily even throughout the difficult times in lockdown. Paper tea bags are being replaced with cotton alternatives as standard, and a new website promises new online horizons.
With good luck, good supply chains (and lots of tea in stock) on my side, I am working at home taking on new customers and new blends as usual. Contact me for more details!
